9 out of 10 Christians fail to develop a biblical worldview. 9 out of 10 startups fail to build profitable businesses. What do they have in common? Let's explore together!
Faith and startups: What's in common?
Let’s take a look at these 2 statistics.
9 out of 10 Christians fail to develop a biblical worldview.
It’s one of the biggest problems of Christians. BibleLines is on a mission to change that and increase Bible literacy worldwide. You can learn more about how we help Christians understand the Scriptures and develop a biblical worldview. In the article mentioned above, I describe how BibleLines fulfills its mission.
9 out of 10 startups fail to build profitable businesses.
It’s one of the biggest problems of startup founders. At first glance, there are only numbers in common, right? Now, here is the question:
How many of those startup founders who fail are also Christians without a biblical worldview? In my estimation:
Many Christian startup founders struggle to succeed and become profitable.
You may be dealing with it right now. I have dealt with it for over 10 years. Find out more about my journey here. What has changed my life? I just realized the following:
The Bible has an answer to entrepreneurship as well.
While it may seem obvious now, I didn't know it for many years. I grew up in a Christian family, attended church almost every Sunday, and read the Bible several times. However, I never realized how to connect the dots between faith, purpose, and business.
It was a revelation to me that the 6000+ biblical promises are not only about salvation but also about succeeding in business ventures. I am about biblical success, not worldly success.
What is the biblical success?
The world defines it as “fat and lucky”. This is what I understand:
A success that contributes to the great commission, disciplining people and nations is a biblical success.
Upon discovering it, I was inspired to build BibleLines (I believe by God).
About BibleLines you can learn more here. But, in the current article, I would like to share how it can help entrepreneurs succeed.
However, before sharing it, I want to make sure you're a Christ-follower, if you're not, it's very easy to become, check it out here and come back. According to 2 Corinthians 1:20, all 6000+ promises in the Bible are for Christ-followers. Promises are like benefits that non-believers lack, so why waste them? Let's take advantage of them!
How will BibleLines help startup founders?
Now, you just need to stand on these promises and receive them by faith for your life, family, and startup!
This may cause you to have a lot of questions, such as:
- How do I navigate 6000+ promises?
- How do I find out what is relevant to me?
- What does it mean to stand on a promise and receive it?
It also raised many questions for me when I heard it, and I still have some.
Furthermore, you may find yourself asking more and more questions as you read the Bible. That's where BibleLines comes in. BibleLines lets you select any verse find the content feed under it, learn deeper, and apply them!
Understanding the Bible will take your faith to the next level.
Remember: Every successful startup founder believes in something that drives their team forward. Without faith, you cannot compete with them.
I want you to consider putting your faith in God first, rather than learning what works in this sinful world. Faith in the center will build a success mindset for you, and ultimately - the success of your business. The biblical success!
Happy Bible reading, until BibleLines launches. And remember: 1 John 4:4 is always in action!
